The Pretty Smart Food Co. Ceremonial Grade Organic Matcha is one of the best Matcha Tea powders we have used so far. We really like the box it comes in, as it can be nicely stored and shows that this is a high quality product.
This tea comes from the Nishio region in Japan. There are two major regions in which Matcha is cultivated. One is Uji of Kyoto, and the other is Nishio. Nishio has been known the world over as the cradle of the finest Matcha for more than 800 years.
Some of Japan's highest quality teas come from Nishio. Nishio's stable climate, fresh pristine river waters, fertile soil, and remoteness from major urban development foster tea leaves that are more resiliently green and full of nutrients than those found in any other regions. Over 60% of all Matcha sold in Japan.
When you open the lid, you can immediately see the vibrant green colour of this ceremonial grade Matcha. The powder is fine as it should be, and when you make the Matcha, you can see that it is easy to froth.
For those that are disillusioned about matcha, or don't know what proper matcha tastes like, this is it. There should be no bitter taste in ceremonial Matcha. This one is subtly sweet, and tastes amazing.
If you have never tried Matcha before, we recommend that you start with this one, as it is perfect. Approximately 250 ratings on Amazon and most of them 5 stars show that many people are of the same opinion as we are.
